“Are you the one who was to come?” (Luke 7:19)
Simply recognizing the authority of Jesus’ teaching does not mean that we know exactly who he is. Luke 7:18-28 says that even John the Baptist struggled to understand the meaning of what he had seen.
We see and hear Jesus do amazing things around us each and every day. Our prayer should be that we recognize his actions and are able to relate that good news to others.
