COVID good news/bad news

In a case of good news/bad news Lily and I got our COVID tests back. I am once more negative while she is positive. She is improving, but still has symptoms. Conversely, I am feeling completely fine.

After talking with the nurse on the phone Lily will be teaching from home this week. We will be isolating from each other in the house until our ten days of transmissibility is up on Thursday.

This evening I discussed my test results with our congregation’s moderator, Eric Basham. Because the layout of the church allows me to work while remaining isolated I will be back in the office tomorrow wearing a mask. Just to safe, I will not do any visitation this week. As an added precaution I will take another COVID test before worship on Sunday.

Thank you to Bobby, Jansen, Jean, Kim, Eric, Nona, Rick, Susie, Brooklyn and Danny for leading worship yesterday. It was a blessing to be able to participate with everyone online.

Please continue to pray for everyone who has been affected by the most recent wave of the virus, especially those in the medical and education fields. Doctors, nurses, teachers, administrators, and staff have been tasked with reinventing the wheel on a constant basis for the last couple of years. I am so grateful for all they are doing for our community, our kids and our health.
