“I have let you see this land, but you shall not cross into it.” (Deuteronomy 34:4)

Moses’ story comes to an unexpected end. After successfully leading the people out of slavery and safely through the wilderness, his life comes to an end shortly before they enter the promised land.

One of our hardest challenges is recognizing our own limitations. Moses’ time had come to an end. As challenging as that reality was was, it as also an opportunity. Only then could Joshua step forward and use the talents God had given him.

Today we give thanks for those who made room for us in the past, and the impact that we were able to make as a result of that opportunity. We also ask for the humility to recognize our own limitations and the wisdom to allow others to do what it is Christ has called them to do.
