Invitation to Lenten Prayer

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 challenges Christians to pray continually and to give thanks for all that God has done. Even though prayer is a gift, sometimes it is hard to make a habit of coming before God.

First Christian Church’s Lenten prayer time begins tonight, March 9. Every Wednesday the sanctuary will be open 5-7 p.m. Feel free to drop in and spend some time communing with Jesus.

Lent is an opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Christ. Fortunately, Jesus assures us that the Holy Spirit will hear us even when we do not know what to say.
