Kennett, Missouri 2014 Air Show
As a kid I loved going to air shows. In fact, air shows are a major part of the reason that I fell in love with aviation. While being around airplanes is always fun, there are certain shows that stick out in my mind. At Dover Air Force Base I got a chance to walk through a C-5 Galaxy for the first time. At Cedar Rapids I watched Bob Hoover’s incredible piloting skill on display. In Des Moines I got a chance to see a radio control reenactment of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Every show was just a little bit different and that variety just added to the fun.

Because all the shows I attended growing up were held in cities or at major Air Force bases, I was very pleasantly surprised to hear that the nearby small town of Kennett, Missouri was going to be hosting an air show of its own on Saturday, September 27, 2014. It turned out to be a great day for flying. Here are some photos and videos from the event. Big thanks to all the organizers and everyone in the Kennett community who helped support the event.
T-6/SNJ formation display
There is absolutely nothing like the sound of a T-6 Texan’s big radial engine. Getting to hear and see two of them flying in formation was incredible.
