Ecclesiastes 1:9 says that there is nothing new under the sun. “What has been will be again.” This is true for our congregation. A century ago an epidemic of a different sort prevented us from meeting together.
A column in the Dexter Statesman says that we used the time apart to call a new pastor and associate pastor and entered “upon the new year with encouragement and hope.” The hope that we had then is available to us now as we explore new ways of being church during this time.
