Seeking rest in a busy world
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Dear God, your Son, Jesus Christ, had such an eventful ministry. I wish that I could accomplish even a fraction of what he did. The truth of the matter is that, despite our best efforts, we cannot accomplish everything we set out to do. There is so much that we fall short on, but I ask you to bless the parts that we can do. Help us to live in the midst of a busy and confusing world. Help us to be able to follow you and to accomplish the work to which you have called us. Help us to truy be your children. Help me to take up your yoke, rather than continuing to rely on my own strength.
