“The Lord scattered them over all the earth.” (Genesis 11:8)

The story of the Tower of Babel is a reminder that buildings cannot bring us into the presence of God. The people were scattered and their languages were confused. Fortunately the story did not stop with Genesis 11. In the very next chapter God called a small family out of their isolation to follow in a new direction.

The year 2020 has reminded us that many of the the same things are true today. We have been scattered and isolated. Fortunately, the story does not end there. God is continuing to call us to follow in new directions each and every day.
