“They owe it to share their material blessings.” (Romans 15:27)

Since the earliest church, Christians have used their financial blessings to support others. Romans 15:25-29 details the way the churches in Macedonia and Achaia contributed their resources to support their fellow believers in Jerusalem.

Christians continue this pattern of pooling our resources today. Quite simply we can do more together than we could ever do on our own. For the next two weeks we will be receiving the Easter Offering. This is the way the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) funds the work of the general church in the United States and Canada. Our witness to the world and the work of our national leadership is made possible by this offering.
