Tropical memories for a rainy day

Rincon, Puerto Rico, Memories

The Monday after Thanksgiving in the United States is known as Cyber Monday because millions of people spend the day shopping online for Christmas gifts. Unfortunately, for me it was a day spent doing office work and traveling an hour to the doctor for a minor procedure. The drive was made slightly more exciting by the fact that southeast Missouri was experiencing our heaviest rainfall in several months at the moment. The moisture was greatly needed, but it did make an already dreary day somewhat more unpleasant.

With all of that going on, it was nice to take a few moments and look back on what we were doing five months ago at this time. This summer my wife took me to Puerto Rico to celebrate the tenth anniversary of my thirtieth birthday. We spent a week traveling around the island and got to see a part of the world we had never really encountered before. The big day itself was spent in Rincon, looking over the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean. It was nice to be able to remember such sunny weather and relaxing times on a day like today.
