“Yet I will rejoice in the Lord” (Habakkuk 3:17-18)
Over the last week, several people in our church have had to say goodbye to friends and family. Even when a death does not occur within our congregation, in a small town like Dexter everyone can be affected.
In moments like this, passages such as Habakkuk 3:17-18 can be helpful. It is a reminder that our suffering is real and tragic, but it is not the end of the story.
Worship and praise to God become an act of protest. The Holy Spirit will overrule our current reality. Even if everything we know and love is taken away, Christ is still with us, providing the strength that we need.
